Mail arrived!!!

I am posting the works of art I received lately.
Thank you all.
It is so exciting getting home, opening the mail box and find an envelope from another artist, someone we never met, but somehow we feel conected through Art. This is my first Mail Art Project. It is a shame I have never done something like this before....

This Scarabaeidae was done in watercolor. The green has a metallic sheen, I used an iridescent medium from Winsor and Newton to great advantage, but it does not reproduce. the effect is only seen on the original painting...

Beetles

This is the largest Order within the Class Insecta. There are more beetles species than all the species of plants and animals together!!!
They live in every part of the planet, except in the oceans.
Their life histories are as varied as their biodiversity. Some are realy beauties with shining colours, others are realy beasts that may destroy whole crops or stored food.
